Auglaize County Battle of Badges Blood Drive a Success

The final count for the first Battle of the Badges Blood Drive held Wednesday in Auglaize County was released today.  

Despite a huge appearance by the Wapakoneta and St. Mary’s  Fire Departments in mid-afternoon, the day belonged to the men and women in blue.

Officially, there were 31 units of blood under the Law Enforcement team compared to 21 units of blood garnered by the Emergency Management or Firefighter side.  

The successful drive benefits the American Red Cross as it works to increase the blood supply headed into the busy summer months.
