Kenton Boys 8th Basketball beats Benjamin Logan 43 – 29

Kenton 8th grade boys basketball team beat Ben Logan 43-29 Tuesday night. The Wildcats were led by Luke Haugendobler with 15 points and Kyle Barrett with 12. Maddux McFarlin added 7, Hudson Latimore 5, and Isaiah Mundy 4.  Isaac Anderson led in rebounding with 4 and McFarlin and Anderson both forced 3 turnovers.

Kenton Girls 8th Basketball beats Benjamin Logan 36 – 25

The Lady Cats started off strong and withstood a second half comeback attempt by the home team to come away with the win and move to 8-3 on the year. Scoring for Kenton was Lyla Gammon with 14 points, Jadynn Byers and Brylee Bostelman with 7 points, Kaylee Barlow with 6 points and Marlee Gammon added a bucket. The next game for them is Thursday at home against Bath.

Boys Varsity Bowling goes to 12-0 with 2521 – 2394 win over Marion – Harding

The Kenton Wildcats opened a 94 pin lead after the 1st individual games behind a 197 by Adam Hopkins and a 190 by Sam Taylor. Marion-Harding got some of those pins back after the 2nd individual games. Kenton led 1651 - 1585 going into the bakers. Kenton proceeded to win 4 of the 5 bakers to solidify the win 2521 - 2394. Handell Champion; Blevins and Hunt Runner-Up at Triad Invite

Junior, Matthew Handell, claimed the 215 lb title at the Triad Invitational this past weekend.  Isaac Blevins and Anthony Hunt placed second as the team placed eigth out of sixteen teams with eighty-seven team points.
