Findlay Hope House Seeking Volunteers

Photo: Findlay Hope House The Findlay Hope House is seeking volunteers for three-hour shifts on weekends and holidays. Volunteers are needed to answer the phone and door and to also receive any donations that may be brought in. Findlay Hope House provides housing solutions, support and education to meet the needs of individuals and families facing homelessness in the Findlay community. 85-Year-Old Findlay Man Tragically Passes Away After Bicycle Accident Involving a Vehicle on Wednesday

An 85-year-old Findlay man died after a car versus bicycle accident in Findlay Wednesday morning. According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, Dennis McCracken lost control of the bicycle as he was riding east on the sidewalk in the 700 block of West Trenton Avenue. Student Spotlight: Riverdale Students Channel Creativity as Real Estate Agents in Haunted House Showcase

Students in reading classes at Riverdale became real estate agents last week. They designed and drew haunted houses and included details about their houses that made them marketable to sell. There was an Open House where they could showcase their houses and bid on the house they wanted to buy.  The 3 students who had the highest bids were Alaynee Ledesma, Alexis Crace, and Molly VanAtta.

‘Tis the Season: Kenton Lions Club Christmas Parade and Other Downtown Holiday Festivities Set for November 26

The Kenton Lions Club: Ohio's Biggest Small Town Christmas Parade, unveiling of the Window Wonderland, and lighting of the Hardin County Courthouse will all be held on Tuesday, November 26th. The parade will begin at 6:30 that evening. A link to register a float or walking group for the parade can be found here. Volunteer opportunities are also available.
