Awards Presented to Three Lions Club Members

The Kenton Lions club held its meeting on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the Kenton Elks. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by Lion President Jason Van Buskirk with 21 members present. Lion President Jason Van Buskirk led with the pledge and the prayer. The meeting was adjourned and reconvened at 7:00 pm following a meal.

Lion President Jason Van Buskirk presented Membership Key Award pins and letters to the following Lions: Aaron Osborn, Kirk Cameron and Bob White for sponsoring 2 new members and Lion Bill Keller was presented a Senior Master Key award for sponsoring 15 new members.

The Treasurer and Secretary report was submitted to members. A motion was made by Lion Todd Oates to accept both reports from the October 18th meeting with a 2nd by Lion Joe Burgbacher. Motion passed.

In old business Lion Aaron Osborn informed the club that 20 street banners have been sold and the fundraiser will continue through November 15th. Sponsorships for street banners will replace the Veterans banners during the winter months. Lion President Jason and Lion Judd Robinson gave an update on the Kenton Lions Christmas parade to be held November 21 with start time at 6:30 P.M. Lion Terry Burgbacher gave an update on Bowling with Santa in new business, the event will be held at Hillcrest lanes bowling alley on December 16, 2023 from 2-5 P.M. Information will be posted on the Kenton Lions Club Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064966890854

Lion Bill Keller informed the club the first zone meeting will be held on November 15th at the Kenton Elks #157 at 6:30 P.M.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:45 pm.

Followed by the singing of the Lions Roar.

50/50 drawing was won by Lion President Jason Van Buskirk.
