Kenton city council met for their 24th regular session on Monday evening. After much discussion Ordinance 21-033 was passed with amendments pertaining to Ordinance 21-036 which amended a number of codified ordinances. The major crux of this ordinance is creating the as of yet filled community improvement director position.

In new business resolution 21-014 was passed after a suspension of the three read rule. Essentially this resolution allows the city of Kenton to open an account with Liberty national bank to pay out insurance claims as to not allow direct access to the city of Kenton account by the insurance provider

Later in the meeting, councilman David Beazley proposed renaming a city park in honor of the late Patti Risner. The proposal would change the name of Wharton memorial park.
