BKP Ambulance Involved in Accident North of Kenton Saturday

A BKP ambulance was involved in an accident this past Saturday night on U.S. 68 at County Road 80 around four miles north of Kenton.

According to information from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, the ambulance was traveling north on 68 with lights and siren activated while transporting a patient to Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay while a northbound tractor pulling a large gravity wagon started to make a left turn from 68 onto 80.

The collision caused heavy damage to the ambulance.

The patient was uninjured in the crash, and another ambulance continued the transport to Findlay.

The drivers of the ambulance were treated and released at Blanchard Valley.

The driver of the tractor, identified as Eric Risch, was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation, and so far no charges have been filed.
