The coronavirus pandemic, according to Rodney Wilson, American Red Cross Communications Manager, Blood Services, is leading to the cancellation of blood drives around the country.
“More than 350,000 blood donations across the country have cancelled since the beginning of the pandemic in March, and it’s really been quite a challenge for the blood supply because patients still need blood in the hospital, said Wilson.”
He added that there are still blood drives scheduled, but that could change at any time. He said for the latest information on where you can donate blood, visit: https://www.redcrossblood.org/
