The American Red Cross is urging healthy donors of all blood types to give blood and help ensure a stable blood supply for patients this holiday season.

The traditional slump in blood donations between Thanksgiving and New Year’s comes as the blood supply already faces challenges created by the coronavirus pandemic.

There are four blood drives scheduled around Hardin County in November.

Two of those will be on Monday November 23.

They will be in Ada from 11:30am to 5:30pm at Visiting Nurses and Hospice, and in Kenton from noon until 6pm at First Baptist Church in Kenton.

On November 24, they will be set up at Hardin Northern School from 8am to 1pm.

The last one will be at the Moose Lodge in Kenton from noon until 6pm on Monday November 30.
