A fall-themed Discovery Day with prize drawings and a business decorating contest will be hosted by Bluffton merchants on September 26.

The village’s downtown district along Main Street has dozens of shops and restaurants. It also hosts a Saturday morning Cars & Coffee gathering and farmers market. Nearby, Suter’s Produce has opened their seasonal corn maze, hayride shuttle service to sunflower and pumpkin patches, and cider press shop.

“Bluffton isn’t hosting the annual fall fest this year, but there are fun opportunities in and near the village,” remarks Paula Scott, Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce CEO. “Our participating merchants are making this a special day for residents and visitors.” All downtown Bluffton businesses are being invited to participate in a fall-themed decorating contest.

Twelve businesses are providing tickets for a prize drawing. They will give a drawing ticket to shoppers for every $10 spent. Three tickets will be drawn for prizes of $100, $75, and $50 in “Bluffton Bucks,” gift certificates that can be spent at Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce member businesses. The businesses are Bike Crazy LLC, The Black Lab Trading Company, Book ReViews, Boutique 415-Polished, Dough Hook Meat Market, Et Cetera Thrift Shop, The Food Store, Greenhorn restaurant, Roots by Strattons, Ten Thousand Villages, Town & Country Flowers, and Twisted Whisk Cafe. Individual business hours vary.

Cars & Coffee takes place at 902 N Main from 8-11 a.m. The Bluffton Farmers Market is located at 102 S. Main and is open from 8:30 a.m.-noon. Activities at Suter’s Morning Star Cider Press are open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and are located at 4678 Road R, Pandora. Also, nine home-based businesses are hosting a pop-up shop event from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Centre at Bluffton, 601 N. Main St.
