Bucyrus – The Bucyrus District will lead a week long crash reduction effort that will commence on October 7, 2019 and end on October 11, 2019.
The detail will include troopers from the Bucyrus, Marion and Mansfield Posts, as well as the Patrol’s Aviation and Commercial Enforcement Unit. Wyandot, Richland and Marion counties will be the areas of focus for the detail.
Statistically, year to date with the three counties combined, a total of 4,972 traffic crashes have occurred. Of these crashes investigated, a total of 29 have resulted in fatalities.
Areas of focus will concentrate on crash causing violations, as well as impaired driving, distracted driving and safety-belts.
The detail will direct their focus in these counties on their top crash roadways.
These roadways include, but are not limited to; Interstate 71, U.S. Routes 42, 30, 23, and State Routes 4, 13, 95.
