A special Downtown Business Association Speaker Series presentation will be held at the Hardin County Genealogy Society this morning.

It will start at 11 this morning.

Lydia Mihalik, Director of the Ohio Department of Development, is the featured speaker.

All Downtown Kenton building and business owners within the Kenton Historic Courthouse District are encouraged to attend.

Prior to that presentation, state officials will meet with city officials concerning the city’s phase 2 water improvement project.

Mayor Lynn Webb stated they will take a quick tour of the downtown.

Phase 2 improvements encompass the nine-block area in the core of downtown Kenton.

The city received a 5 million dollar state grant for the project last summer.

In addition, Mayor Webb will hold a press conference this afternoon with Mihalik, Rep. Jon Cross and the Director of Ohio EPA Anne Vogel to announce even more funding and news pertaining to the project.

That will start at 1 this afternoon in the Kenton City Building.
