A bomb threat email was received by Blanchard Valley Hospital at around 10 Tuesday night.

According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, the email stated that explosives were located in the building.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Findlay Police Department, and hospital security team were on scene, as well as Findlay Fire Department.

Personnel searched the interior and exterior of the hospital grounds.

CSX Police Department’s bomb detection K-9 unit arrived on scene to assist in the search, but nothing suspicious was located.

The message received was vague and determined to be part of a swatting style call, received at several hospitals in multiple areas within the State of Ohio.
