One person was killed in a two vehicle crash Sunday evening at the intersection of State Routes 309 and 98 in Marion County.
According to a release from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Patrol, Donna L. Galati, 73 of Caledonia, was a passenger in a vehicle being operated by John Galati, 52, also of Caledonia, who was traveling east on 309 when a vehicle driven by Michael Lee Wright, 28 of Bucyrus, pulled into his path after running a red light on 98.
Galati and another passenger in his vehicle were both transported to Marion General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Wright and one of three juvenile passengers in his vehicle were taken to Marion General with non-life threatening injuries.
Two other juvenile passengers were not injured.
Donna Galati was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Marion Count y Sheriff’s Office, First Consolidated Fire Department, Fort Morrow Township Fire Department, Marion Township Fire Department, Pleasant Township Fire Department, Marion County Coroner’s Office and Precision Towing.
This crash remains under investigation.
