Fire Damages Building in Downtown Lima

A building was damaged by fire in downtown Lima on Tuesday. According to information on the Lima Police Department's Facebook page, the fire occurred at 57 Town Square. Hometown Stations reported the fire appears to be electric in nature, and that it was contained to the second floor. The cost of damage is still unknown. Fire departments from American and Shawnee Townships provided mutual assistance.

Forest Residents Asked to Keep Blessing Box Filled

Residents in Forest are being asked to remember the Blessing Box in the village. Keeping the box restocked for those in need is even more important right now since kids are off from school until January 5. Residents are encouraged to drop off some kid friendly items such as cereal, peanut butter &  jelly and ravioli.
