Farmers Can Now Make 2023 Crop Year Elections

WASHINGTON, Oct. 19, 2022 – Agricultural producers can now change election and enroll in the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage programs for the 2023 crop year, two key safety net programs offered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Governor DeWine Visits Region

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine visited the region this afternoon. DeWine was at Tri-Rivers Career Center in Marion to learn more about the school's Robotics Advanced Manufacturing Technology Education Collaborative program.  The program is a collaboration between Tri-Rivers Career Center, Marion Technical College, and The Ohio State University at Marion. It is designed to address the skills gap by training high school students in industrial robotics, advanced manufacturing, and engineering.

The next Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance Community Coffee will be held Tuesday, November 1 at 8:00 a.m.  The meeting will be held in the Alliance Conference Room at 225 South Detroit Street in Kenton. Motivational speaker and author Terrence Talley is coming to Kenton. He will speak to students and the community on November 1.  Talley will speak to Kenton City School students from 1st grade up.  At 7 that evening, the community is invited to a 10 Talents concert and presentation by Talley in the Kenton High School gym.
