Bluffton University to Host Baseball Skills Camps

BLUFFTON, Ohio—The Bluffton University baseball team will host camps for young players wanting to improve their skills this summer. A two-day camp takes place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Monday, July 8, and Tuesday, July 9, for youth ages 9-13. Cost is $60. Then on Wednesday, July 10, a camp for youth ages 13-15 will be held. Kenton Father/Son Win USBC State Doubles Handicap Competition

The 2019 Ohio State United States Bowling Congress State Open Championships competition was held this past weekend. Winning the State Doubles Handicap competition were father and son Robert C. and Jason W. Howe, from Kenton. The two bowled a 1582 for a first place finish out of 457 doubles teams from around the state. The two won $3300, plus jackets.

Kenton Schools Searching for New Athletic Director

The Kenton City School District is looking for a new Athletic Director.   Superintendent Jennifer Penczarski confirmed that Joey Day accepted that position with Marysville schools.   Day served as A.D. in Kenton for two years.   Penczarski said the search process is underway for Day's replacement.   The position has been posted on the Kenton School District's website.

The Riverdale 4X800 relay team of Kendra Collier, Makena Barnes, Juleigha Collier, and Paige Rothlisberger competed in the District III Regional track meet held in Tiffin Wednesday, May 22 at Heidelberg University. Kenton Wildcat Athletes Encouraged to Take Advantage of Sports Physicals

OhioHealth Sports Physicals are two weeks away.   Kenton Wildcat Athletes in grades 7-12 (6th going into 7th also), can take advantage of this convenient opportunity right the school's new field house.   They are asking for a $10.00 donation that benefits the Kenton Athletic Department.   Getting sports physicals now will cover the student athlete for the entire year.
