The Kenton boys soccer team made the long trip to Oak Harbor and came away with a resounding 6-1 victory and a happy bus ride home. The Riverdale cross country team ended a successful season with seven runners, between the boys and girls' teams, earning All-BVC selections. In just his junior year, Kenton Cross Country star Wade Manns has set a new school record time of 15:39.5. That time itself is impressive enough, but Manns did it on the biggest of stages to make himself a WBL Cross Country champion. Garry Phipps and Marissa Ledley also put on impressive performances, finishing 11th and earning 1st Team All-WBL honors.

Cory-Rawson had an outstanding showing at the NWCC Cross Country Championships, bringing home not one but three titles. The high school boys, junior high boys, and junior high girls all claimed first place finishes, while the high school girls put in a strong effort to earn a respectable fourth place. Gary Holland was also named the NWCC Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year.
The Ada High School varsity girls soccer team headed to Miller City with the NCOSA title at stake. Both teams fought hard from start to finish, ending in a 2-2 tie. While the Bulldogs didn’t get the outcome they wanted, their 2-1-2 conference record was enough to secure a share of second place in the NCOSA alongside Riverdale. Ada wrapped up their boys’ high school soccer regular season with a dominant 5-0 win over Lincolnview. It marked the Bulldogs’ ninth victory of the year and their second consecutive shutout. Senior Andrew Allen has been a standout all season, netting 25 goals, and in his final home game, he shattered the Ada career goals record with an impressive total of 81. Ada will begin tournament play against Crestview on October 22nd.
