Cats Can’t Cash In On Chances, Fall To Bath 21-14

The Kenton Wildcats failed to capitalize on multiple second-half scoring opportunities and fell to Bath 21-14 in Western Buckeye League action Friday at Robinson Field.

Both teams are now 1-1 on the season.

Kenton outgained Bath 339-302. Kenton drove deep  into Bath territory on its first five possessions of the second half but failed to score on each trip.

Kenton’s Blaine Huston threw for 342 yards and 2 TDs, hooking up with Zac Swaney & Jayden Cornell for scores.

Swaney finished with 148 yards receiving while Cornell had 99 receiving yards and Jacob Eversole had 95 yards through the air.

Cameron Pulfer was named the Ace Hardware Player of the Game.

Kenton returns to action Friday when it hosts Celina.
