Western-Ohio colleges will work through Winter Break to ensure their students remain safe through the spring semester.

The University of Findlay will begin Spring 2021 on Monday, January 11, as scheduled, but will remain online-only until January 19. Sara Arthurs at the Courier reports that UF will maintain classes throughout their scheduled Spring Break, but will suspend classes for five “break days” throughout the semester.

Ohio Northern University will begin its spring semester January 19, and mandates virus tests for all returning students.

Bluffton University will also mandate tests for all returning students, asking the results of those tests to be sent to the university prior to the resumption of classes on Wednesday, January 20. Throughout Winter Break, the school’s COVID-19 Steering Committee will continue to review Allen County Public Health protocols and revise their plans where necessary.
