Flood warnings are in effect for some areas in our region.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Logan, Auglaize and southwestern Union County until 4:45 this afternoon.

This after over 4 inches of rain fell in some places overnight.

Law enforcement in those areas reported that flooding has occurred across the region, and numerous roads have been closed.

In nearby Jackson Center in Shelby County, schools were closed in the area today due to flood conditions. A flood warning is also in effect in that county.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office received a report this morning that a vehicle was washed off State Route 274 and ended up in a field. The driver was rescued by the Sidney Fire and Swift Water Rescue Team.

While the heavy rainfall has ended, runoff will cause flooding to continue today.
