Graveside services with military rites for Daniel Eugene Smith will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Friday, September 18, 2020 at the Wolfcreek Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt.Victory.

He died on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the OSU Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus. He was born on July 27, 1953 in Washington Courthouse, OH to the late Marion and Josephine (Butler) Smith.

Surviving are a son; Carl (Lisa) Smith of Marion, 2 daughters; Mary (William) Burgess of Howard, OH, Heather (Richard) Flack of Fredricktown, 2 brothers; Michael (Susan) Smith of Mt. Victory, Robin Smith of Lake Shores, 15 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Gail Steele Sr., Gary Smith, Larry “Hoss” Smith, Timothy Smith, and a sister; Debbie Schwartz.

Daniel was a proud U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.

He was employed at Seba Logistics in Marysville. He was a former member of the Indian Lake Eagles and Kenton Moose.

Daniel enjoyed playing golf, especially with his friend Shane Bowdie on Sundays. He also enjoyed bowling and playing poker/gambling at the casinos.

Daniel loved his family and wanted to spend as much time with them as he could, specifically his children and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
