Denise C. Jones

Denise Camille Jones transitioned home to be in the arms of Jesus at 6:34 am on June 13, 2020 after sustaining injuries from a fall in her home in which she suffered two broken arms on April 8, 2020.  She seemed to be recovering well only to succumb to her injuries on June 13, 2020.  She was born on January 30, 1958 to Richard E. and Patricia L. Jones in Kenton.

Denise is survived by two brothers; Robert E. Jones of Dunkirk and Michael K. Jones of Kenton, and a sister, Jennifer (Kenneth) McClaren of Malta, Ohio.  She is also survived by two nephews, Richard T. (Keera Lynne) McClaren of Malta, Ohio and Michael K. Jones originally of LaRue, Ohio and a niece, Kara Rose Anderson of Bellefontaine.  On February 14, 1976 she married Charles R. Reames and they divorced in 1992.  In the early years of her marriage they, were stationed in Germany in which Denise was thankful to have been able to see some beautiful parts of the world.  She then settled back in the U.S. in 1983 to Have DeGrace, Maryland and then to Forest Hills, Maryland.  Denise worked for Aberdeen, Maryland police department as a dispatcher for nine years.  In 1992 she retired to pursue different interests.  She then moved back to Kenton to be with her parents and the rest of her family. Denise was a 1976 graduate of Kenton Senior High.  She also studied nursing for a time  She previously attended First Baptist Church of Kenton and then found a church home with Berea Baptist Church. She loved horses and had several throughout her life. Denise loved to study the bible.  It was her true passion in life.  She would then apply it to the situations she would deal with.  She loved to help women and children have better lives. If she could help with information or anything, she would try to help make a difference. Denise will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. I will love and miss you forever sissy, until we meet again, I Love You! A funeral service will begin at

1:00 pm on Thursday, June 18, 2020. Graveside services at the Grove cemetery continental building  where the family will receive friends from 11:00 am Thursday until the time of service.  Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Denise to the Berea Baptist Church.
