The Ohio Department of Aging is offering a free, daily check-in by phone for Ohioans age 60 or older.
This service can also connect participants with aging network information and support.
Check-in calls will be made from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily.
Participants can choose the time that suits them and can also place a hold on these calls at any time.
If a person does not answer after three attempts, the Department of Aging will reach out to an alternate contact, and if all attempts fail, they will notify local non-emergency services such as the sheriff’s office.
