A deputy at the Hardin County Sheriff Office received a promotion.
Kendrick Garmon was promoted to Sergeant during a pinning ceremony held on Monday.

Sheriff Keith Everhart said the promotion was well deserved.
He said Sergeant Garmon is truly a good example for others.
Family members were able to attend the pinning ceremony.
The new sergeant was appointed as a Special Deputy at the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office in September of 2013.
He was appointed as a full time Deputy in June of 2014.
