Dog Tag Sales Begin Today in Hardin County

The 2024 Dog Tags will be sold starting today (December 1, 2023).

Every dog three months of age and older must have a dog license.

The fee is $20, but if an application is not filed and the fee is paid on or before January 31, 2024, then a penalty of $20 will be assessed.

Anyone found harboring an unlicensed dog after January 31 will be cited into court, where they could be fined up to $150 for a first offense and up to $250 for each subsequent offense, plus court costs.

The dog tags can be purchased starting this Friday December 1, 2023 to January 31, 2024 at several businesses around the county including:

Ace Hardware, Kenton
Diamond M Vet Clinic, Kenton
Ada Animal Hospital, Ada,
Middlefield Banking Company, Ada
Community First Bank, Forest
Forest Police Department, Forest
Pfeiffer Station General Store, Pfeiffer Station
Hepburn Feed and Supply, Hepburn
Ridgeway Hardware and General Store, Ridgeway
Southside Six Carry-Out- Dunkirk
J&J Feeds, Mt. Victory
Plaza Mini Mart, Mt. Victory
Rams Roost, McGuffey

They can be purchased at the Hardin County Auditor’s Office and at the Hardin County Dog Shelter.
