There has been some action on a couple of the downtown buildings in Forest over the past few weeks.

Construction and changes have been taking place in the two storefronts just east of the Post office.

Remodeling of those two store fronts is for the Wyandot Memorial Office/ Clinic and retail Pharmacy.

Wyandot Memorial officially announced that they will be opening the Office staffed by Jennifer Frey in what used to be a Chiropractor’s Office.

They will offer primary care family practice services as well as a walk- in clinic and laboratory services.

Just down the street at 211 East Lima Street, the large garage section has received a new roof and a new garage door installed on the rear “warehouse” building.

The 3-building complex was once owned by McBride Furniture and used for warehousing and showroom.

It was purchased by Dean Hankins just prior to the Covid 19 pandemic.

Specifics for use of the building are not being shared publicly at this time.

The Village of Forest has had several contacts from businesses or potential businesses that would like to locate in the village, but retail store frontage is currently limited.
