Driver Falls Asleep Leading to Crash Sunday Morning

A one vehicle accident occurred around 6:45 Sunday morning in the area of State Routes 235 and 309.

 

According to information from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, Liam Preston, of Alger, fell asleep at the wheel while driving south on 235 near 309.

 

The vehicle went off the east side of the road where it struck a culvert and came to rest in a creek off the east side of 235.

 

The driver and a passenger in the vehicle refused a squad for possible injuries.

 

Preston was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control.
