Drivers Escape Injuries from Wednesday Afternoon Crash

There were no injuries in a crash that occurred at the intersection of West Columbus and North Leighton Streets in Kenton Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Kenton Police Department report, 82 year old Lois Sheldon, of Kenton, drove from a stop sign on Columbus Street onto Leighton and her car struck a southbound vehicle being driven by 56 year old Robin Perkins, of Kenton.

Moderate to heavy damage occurred to the vehicles.

Sheldon was cited for a stop sign violation.
