Drugs, Money and Weapons Seized After Warrants were Served at Lima Area Residences

There were four narcotics related residential search warrants served at residences around Lima recently.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office released information on the warrants this past Friday.

With assistance provided by the  S.W.A.T. teams from the Sheriff’s Office and Lima Police Department and the Shawnee Township Police Department, the warrants were served at residences in Lima and Shawnee Township.

As a result, a quarter kilo of suspected fentanyl, a kilo of suspected cocaine, a pound of methamphetamine, $29,000 US currency, three semi-auto handguns, and one rifle were seized. 

The investigations are ongoing with charges expected to be presented for consideration to a future session of the Allen County Grand Jury.

During the last week and a half of October 2023, the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, in joint efforts with the FBI’s Northwest Ohio Safe Streets Task Force, served four narcotics related residential search warrants. With assistance provided by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. team, the Lima Police Department S.W.A.T. Team, and the Shawnee Township Police Department, warrants were served in the 600 block of Holmes Street (Lima), the 100 block of East Kibby Street (Lima), the 3000 block Pocahontas Trail (Shawnee Township), and the 2100 block of Lake Circle Drive (Lima), all located in Allen County, Ohio.

While conducting the search warrants a quarter kilo of suspected fentanyl, a kilo of suspected cocaine, a pound of methamphetamine, $29,000 US currency, three semi-auto handguns, and one rifle were seized.

The investigations are ongoing with charges expected to be presented for consideration to a future session of the Allen County Grand Jury.

The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force is currently comprised of investigators and detectives from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and the Lima Police Department.
