Early Sunday Morning Train-Car Collision in Kenton Results in One Person Injured

One person was injured after a train versus car crash in Kenton at around 3:50am Sunday morning.

Details have not yet been released.

WKTN was told a driver turned onto the tracks and was struck by the train.

The driver was taken by helicopter to a Columbus hospital.

Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in the crash which remains under investigation.

Rail and motor vehicle traffic was restored to normal operation at 5:45am Sunday morning.
