Elida High School football coach Bill Speller has resigned his position.
The Lima News reported that Athletic Director Dave Evans made the announcement in an email sent today.
A group of players raised concerns over many of the tactics used by Speller, and the school determined that some of those actions went over the line of what is acceptable.
He was placed on administrative leave last week.
Dan Latimore was elevated to head coach for the rest of this football season.
