Escaped Inmate Edward A. Morgan Captured Hours After Logan County Jail Break

An inmate who escaped from the Logan County Jail was captured a short time later.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office issued an alert at around 5:00 Tuesday evening that they were looking for 44-year-old Edward A. Morgan, and the public was encouraged to call in tips if they saw him.

At the time the alert was issued, Morgan was last seen leaving a work detail.

Around 3 hours later, Morgan was located and taken back into custody.

Sheriff’s Office officials thanked members of the public who submitted tips.
