Findlay Bicyclist Injured in Crash Thursday Night

A Findlay woman escaped serious injuries after her bicycle was struck by a car in Findlay at just before 9:30 Thursday night.

 

According to the Findlay Police Department report, 22 year old Courtney L. Burkheimer was riding the bike with no lights south in the roadway in the 2600 block of South Main Street.

 

The bicycle was struck by a southbound car being driven by 25 year old Sasha E. Whalen, of Findlay, who then left the scene.

 

Burkheimer was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital by private vehicle with minor injuries.

 

About 45 minutes after the accident, Whalen went to the police station and was cited for leaving the scene.

 

Burkheimer was cited for not having lights on the bicycle.
