Findlay Man Arrested After Pursuit by Findlay Police

A Findlay man was arrested after a high speed pursuit in that city early Sunday morning.

 

According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Speeday on a report about a male passed out in a vehicle.

 

Officers woke the man up and during the investigation, he fled in the vehicle at a high rate of speed.

 

The pursuit reached speeds in excess of 85 miles an hour on Broad Avenue and over 105 miles an hour on County Road 95.

 

Officers lost sight of the suspect and the pursuit was terminated but the investigation continued.

 

The suspect’s vehicle was located disabled in the 10,000 block of County Road 94 where it struck a fire hydrant.

 

The driver fled on foot but was located and arrested.

 

34 year old Thomas S. Crowe Jr. was charged with fleeing and eluding, operating a vehicle intoxicated, failure to stop after an accident and failure to reinstate his driver’s license.

 

He was taken to the Hancock County Justice Center.
