Findlay Man Arrested Following Pursuit Monday Afternoon

A Findlay man was arrested following a pursuit Monday afternoon that started in Kenton.

 

According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, an officer was dispatched to investigate a report of a recklessly operated motorcycle on U.S. 68 headed north into Kenton.

 

The motorcycle was located on South Detroit Street, but the operator failed to comply with the signal from the officer to stop.

 

After a lengthy pursuit, the man, identified as 32 year old Brian Wingate, was arrested in a corn field on U.S. 68 near the Hancock County line.

 

Wingate is facing a felony charge of failing to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.

 

The incident remains under investigation.
