A female reported being assaulted at a residence in Findlay early this morning, but so far Findlay Police officers have not been able to locate her.

According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Ellis Avenue, but when they arrived on scene, they were not able to make contact with any involved parties, because they did not receive an answer at the door.

Around two hours later, the same female victim called to request officers again, and this she was able to say that she was being assaulted and threatened with a gun.

She also stated the first-time officers were at the residence the suspect refused to let her answer the door and took her phone so she could not call for help.

Officers arrived back on scene and upon approach heard a male voice yelling inside the residence.

Contact was attempted with the subjects inside, but they refused to answer the door.

The Findlay Police Department Emergency Response Team was activated, and a warrant was obtained to enter the residence.

A search was conducted, and a third male was found inside, but the female victim was not located.

The incident will remain under investigation until the female victim can be located and interviewed, and charges will then be requested at that time.
