A woman was arrested after a pursuit with Findlay Police early this morning.

According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, an officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a couple of violations in the 800 block of West Trenton Avenue.

The vehicle continued westbound on Trenton and then entered the northbound lane of I-75 where it travelled at a slow speed for around 1600 feet before stopping.

As the officer approached, the driver of the car accelerated heading north on 75 and reached speeds of just over 90 miles an hour.

The car then exited onto County Road 99, and the pursuit ended when the car struck a guardrail on the north side of 99.

The female driver then exited the car and attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended.

41 year old Rebecca C. Evans, of Findlay, was arrested on warrants out of Auglaize County and through Findlay Municipal Court.

She was allegedly found to be in possession of illegal narcotics.

Evans was treated and released at Blanchard Valley Hospital and then transported to the Hancock County Justice Center on charges of possession of drugs and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.
