Findlay Woman Facing Drug Charges After Crash in Kenton on Monday

Drugs were seized and a Findlay woman was arrested after a crash handled by the Kenton Police Department this past Monday October 4. 

According to a release from Chief Dennis Musser, officers were called to the area of South Leighton Street and Legion Boulevard on a report about a two vehicle non-injury crash. 

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the drivers of the involved vehicles. 

During the initial investigation, officers grew suspicious of one of the vehicle operators, and they seized and impounded her vehicle until a search warrant could be obtained. 

The driver, 27-year-old Shayan Mabe, of Findlay, was detained.

A search of the vehicle was soon after conducted and officers found 147 grams of suspected cocaine, 27 grams of suspected crack cocaine, a quantity of suspected Methampehatime, cash, and two handguns. 

Shayan Mabe was held and later transported to Marion Multi-County Jail.  

Mabe was later served with charges of Possession of controlled substances, Illegal conveyance of weapons or drugs and Trafficking in Drugs.
