Findlay Woman Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Hancock County Crash

A three vehicle crash on State Route 15 near Findlay Monday night injured two people.

According to a release from the Findlay Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 32 year old Brittany Furguson, of Findlay, was traveling east on 15 when she drove across the median into the westbound lane.

Her vehicle was struck head on by a pickup truck being operated by 53 year old Robert Kelly, of Michigan.

A semi then struck Furguson’s vehicle and she was ejected.

Furguson suffered life threatening injuries and was flown from the scene to Saint Vincent’s Medical Center in Toledo. 

Kelly suffered severe, but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported from the scene to Blanchard Valley Hospital. 

The driver of the semi, 28 year old Gurpreet Singh, of Michigan, was not injured. 

The 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer sustained severe damage and was towed by Ed’s Towing and Recovery. The 2016 Chevrolet Silverado sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene by BG Towing. The 2019 Peterbilt Semi sustained functional damage and was able to be driven from the scene.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by Vanlue Fire, Hanco EMS, Mercy Health Life Flight, The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, The Findlay Police Department, The Ohio Department of Transportation, Ed’s Towing and Recovery, and BG Towing.

The Patrol reminds everyone to wear their safety belt when traveling on the roadways.

The crash remains under investigation.
