Flood Watch in Effect Through Late Tonight

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch that will be in effect through late tonight.

Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

Heavy rain of 1 to 2 inches is likely with locally higher amounts possible into tonight. 

The rain will fall on saturated ground which will cause rises on area creeks and streams and may result in flooding.

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

People in the watch area, especially those living in areas prone to flooding, should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Monitor the latest forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings.
