Sheriff Everhart answers questions about his health, eclipse preparation, school safety training and a lot more on this week’s Public Eye
After liver transplant and kidney transplant surgeries, Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart said he is well on the road to a full recovery.
He said he is feeling good. In fact he said, he hasn’t felt this good in years, “The best way to put it is, ‘I forgot what it was like to feel good’ because you get used to ‘okay this is how good I feel today and I will just cope with it at this level,’ but now, the doctors say I’m not even 100 percent yet. They usually say six to twelve months, and I think it’s been around six months so, I’m still healing, but I feel great. God’s good.’
