“This generation (Generation Z) is uniquely poised to be the change agents of the future,” shared Dr. Amy Acton, MD, MPH, former Director of the Ohio Department of Health.

Dr. Acton’s insights captivated and inspired students during the annual Sebok Pharmacy Lecture.

With a focus on adaptive leadership and lessons learned from her pivotal role during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Acton shared invaluable wisdom gained from her experience as a cabinet member and advisor to the Governor of Ohio.

“We are grateful for the time Dr. Acton shared throughout the day with the students and during the lecture. Her insights were truly enriching. We co-create the world we want to live in,” she challenged as she encouraged our students to be determined, hopeful and focused. Dean Beatty hopes we can all embrace her message, “create space to heal and offer more love than hate.”

The Sebok Lecture series is named for 1953 Raabe College alumnus, Albert A. Sebok.
