Savor the last nights of summer fun at the third annual Friday Fun Fest from 4-7 p.m. on Aug. 9th at Harrison Smith Park located at 525 E. Wyandot Ave. in Upper Sandusky.
The event kickoff is 4:15 p.m. at the Upper Sandusky Community Park Pool with Wyandot County Prevention and attendees will receive a free beachball.
Free admission to Upper Sandusky Community Park Pool will be available for all ages from 4-8 p.m.
Free hot dogs, snow cones, water, and other snacks will also be available outside of the pool area.
Organizations serving families living in Wyandot County and beyond will offer displays, freebies and giveaways in and around the white building at the park from 4-7 p.m.
A touch-a-truck event will feature local first responders and law enforcement from 4-7 p.m. with Mercy Health Life Flight expected to land around 6 p.m.
As part of the Wyandot County Safe Communities Drive Sober Kick Off, the second annual Zero Proof Mix Off is 4-7 p.m. at the traffic safety tent. Sample alcohol-free drink recipes created by local organizations and vote for a favorite. A guest speaker from the Ohio State Highway Patrol will speak at 5 p.m. about the importance of sober driving.
Wyandot County Public Health will offer free car seat and booster checks from 4-7 p.m. at the front of the park. Checks are conducted by certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians offering peace of mind. Checks take at least 30 minutes to complete, please plan accordingly. Drive-ins welcome or schedule ahead by calling 419-294-3852 ext. 233.
