Get ready to go on safari, explore creatures of the night, and much more during the University of Findlay Mazza Museum’s upcoming Funday Sunday season! Starting this November and occurring on the first Sunday during the following five months, the Museum will offer themed, family-friendly learning extravaganzas focused on art, literacy, and science thanks in part to co-sponsors Taylor Automotive Family and Farmers and Merchants State Bank.

All Funday Sundays are free, open to the public, and will take place from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at either the Museum or Alumni Memorial Union (see the schedule below for details).

With hands-on learning activities at multiple stations, the increasingly popular programming is a perennial hit with children and caregivers. The experiential learning lessons are designed to encourage artistic expression, enhance literacy knowledge, and develop critical thinking skills. These Funday Sundays will also serve as a prelude to the Mazza Museum’s addition; construction on the Joseph and Judith Conda STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics/medicine) Education Center is slated to begin in spring 2020.

Here are this season’s dates and themes:

Nov. 3, 2019: Orbit into Mazza!

Dec. 1, 2019: Elf Workshop (Alumni Memorial Union)

Jan. 1, 2020: Mad Scientist (Alumni Memorial Union)

Feb. 2, 2020: Wild Safari

March 1, 2020: Wild, Wacky WEATHER!

April 5, 2020: Creatures of the NIGHT! “Nocturnal Adventure”
