In a press conference held in Marion, Ohio yesterday, Governor Mike DeWine provided updated county risk levels and a nursing home visitation order.

18 counties currently have a very high risk of exposure. Marion County is included in the Level 3 list.

Hardin County is one of 58 Ohio counties are in the Orange Level 2, the highest ever. Other orange counties include Hancock, Allen, Auglaize, Logan, and Wyandot. 96 percent of Ohioans are living in a Red or Orange county. DeWine stressed the importance of staying home, wearing a mask when out, and maintaining social distances.

Also in the press meeting, DeWine announced an order allowing nursing homes to permit indoor visitation beginning Monday, October 12th. The visits will be limited to two visitors for a maximum of 30 minutes. Visitations will occur in areas separate from the resident’s room and will follow certain health and safety requirements.
