Concert-goers to Experience The Guess Who on Friday; Movie-goers to See “The Art of Racing in the Rain” Saturday and Sunday
Marion, Ohio – This weekend offers entertainment seekers two separate opportunities at the historic Marion Palace Theatre.
Events scheduled to take place include a classic rock concert featuring The Guess Who and the film “The Art of Racing in the Rain.”
The Guess Who, rock music’s top hit-makers of 1960s and 70s are set to perform a live concert at the Marion Palace Theatre on Friday, September 20 at 7:30 p.m. Their impressive collection of hit singles includes “These Eyes,” “Clap For the Wolfman,” “Hand Me Down World,” “No Time,” “Star Baby,” “Share the Land,” “No Sugar Tonight,” “Laughing,” “Undun,” and of course their #1 rock anthem “American Woman.”
Reserved seating tickets for The Guess Who concert are available for purchase and are priced at $34, $40, $46, and $52. Sponsored by First Federal Bank.
On Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22 the Palace will show the heartfelt movie “The Art of Racing in the Rain.”
Based on the best-selling novel by Garth Stein, the film is narrated by a witty and philosophical dog named Enzo (voiced by Kevin Costner). Through his bond with his owner, Denny Swift (Milo Ventimiglia), an aspiring Formula One race car driver, Enzo has gained tremendous insight into the human condition and understands that the techniques needed on the racetrack can also be used to successfully navigate the journey of life.
“The Art of Racing in the Rain” is rated PG for thematic material and runs 1 hour, 48 minutes. Movie admission prices are $4 for all ages and $2 for current 2019-2020 PCAA members presenting a valid membership card. Show times on Saturday and Sunday are at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Open captions will be shown on Sunday afternoon.
