A man was arrested over the weekend in Findlay after he allegedly threatened to shoot family members.
According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Blanchard Street to investigate a report about an intoxicated man with a firearm threatening family members.
He is also said to have threatened to shoot police officers if they came to his house.
After making contact, the suspect, later identified as Neil Gomez, allegedly ran towards the officers with a rifle in his hand.
Eventually another officer approached from another angle, surprising Gomez, who then dropped his firearm and surrendered.
Gomez was arrested without further incident.
He is being held in the Hancock County Justice Center on charges of felonious assault on a police officer, domestic violence and having weapons while intoxicated.
There were no injuries, and the incident remains under investigation.
