Hancock County Residents Urged to be Aware of Fundraiser

Some Hancock County residents are receiving petitions and donation requests from the United States Deputy Sheriff’s Association.   

While that is a registered organization, residents should know that Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, nor any of their employees, receive any type of funding, training, equipment or benefits from the organization.

The USDSA is not affiliated with the Buckeye State Sheriffs Association or the National Sheriffs Organization.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office urged residents to research any organization that solicits funds from you and be sure it is a legitimate organization that you want to support.
