Hardin County is officially in total compliance with the standards set forth by the State of Ohio 9-1-1 Program Office.

According to a release, the communications staff at the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office has been working with the office to achieve compliance for 2019.

Every Public Safety Answering Point or 9-1-1 call center is required to meet 14 standards ranging from staffing, 9-1-1 phone answering times, emergency power as well educational standards for all dispatching staff.

The goal of the standards is so that wherever a 9-1-1 caller is in the state of Ohio, they are guaranteed to get the same type of services.

Each PSAP is required to report annually to the state of Ohio to ensure compliance.
