Hardin County Fair Underway; Official Opening Ceremony at Noon

Today is the first day of the Hardin County Fair.

The opening ceremony will be held at noon today, and Marketing and Communications Director Kolt Buchenroth said today is Veteran’s Day, “We just feel it’s absolutely necessary that we respect our veterans, so they’re admitted free with a military ID.”

The highlight in the grandstand on opening night is always popular, “The County Music Showcase and the King and Queen Crowning. It’s always a popular event. Folks like to come and see the high school bands, but also who’s going to be that Junior Fair King and Queen. Nine contestants this year.”

That starts at 6:30 this (Tuesday) evening, and the fair runs through this Sunday at the fairgrounds in Kenton.
